Background to Takis
Takis Patrikios was born at Fiskardo, Kefalonia in 1945 and on finishing his schooling, joined the merchant marine as an apprentice officer.
However, his hobby was always engineering, and after his watch on the bridge, he gained significant experience helping in the maintenance of the ships engines and associated machinery.

In 1980, he worked in Galatsi - Roumania as a Supervisor on the construction of a new cargo ship of some 15000 tons but in 1985 , came to Lefkas to begin working on pleasure boats.

He is married to Maria [who manages the boatyard's office and is also the local representative of the Swedish Yacht Club.]
Takis and Maria have two children - Gerassimos [who helps Takis during his holidays] and daughter - Pandora.
