Bill and Pauline [who is a native of the Lakeland county of Cumbria] have lived in the area since 1983 and for the past fifteen years, have become well known for their activities as Nidri bar owners and for the past three years, their taverna - Aeolos.
Bill and Pauline know well the tastes and delights of English palates, and now provide a wide variety of dishes that suit the majority - if not all - of Greece's visitors.
Unlike many others, their success as taverna owners is soundly based on the recommendations of past customers many of whom are now become good friends and are always made welcome when they return to the island.
Bill spent several years in the north of England where he met and married Pauline before returning to his own island and setting up in business.
After completing his studies, Alexis now supports his parents in the taverna and has the natural humor of his father coupled with his mother's courtesy.
There sole aim is to make their clients comfortable, totally at ease and their meal an event to recommend to friends as well as being long to remember.
